The Green Bay Packers sent disgruntled WR Jevon Walker to Denver today for a second round draft pick. The pick was #37 overall, which they went on to send to Atlanta for three other picks -- a second-rounder (47th overall), third rounder (93rd) and fifth-rounder (148th). #47 wound up being Boise State offensive tackle Daryn Colledge, and #52 was Western Michigan wide receiver Greg Jennings. Good trade, or not enough in exchange for a former and perhaps future Pro Bowl WR?

I know the Packers wanted to get rid of him as fast as possible but I think he is worth more than a second-round pick. Don't forget that he was injured last season!

I think it was good. The Packers have a million holes and are not too close to winning now anyway. They can start to re-build now. Remember, Aaron Rogers is waiting in the wings when Mr. Favre decides to hang it up.

Walker is a talent...but three picks are three picks...memories of another Walker deal...Herschel Walker...upon which the Cowboys built their future...

Vastly different kind of deal from the Herschel trade. Jennings may eventually wind up being a good #3 WR, and Colledge may someday start, but I seriously doubt that any of these guys develop into the kind of talent that the Cowboys got with Minnesota's picks.
