Packers-Cowboy game on NFL Network

Remember the fight between the major cable carriers and the NFL Network? That would be the fight in which carriers like Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable are unwilling to put the NFL Network on basic cable.

The NFL Network dispute has been on the back burner for some time. But in the weeks ahead, look for it to get more attention.
Here's why: On Thursday, Nov. 29, the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys, two of the most storied franchises in the National Football League, will meet in Dallas.

The NFL Network has the rights to the game. And that means areas of Wisconsin will not be able to see the game on television. As was the case last year in a game involving the Packers, the local markets of Milwaukee and Green Bay will carry the game. But if your cable system doesn't get a Milwaukee or Green Bay TV station, and you don't have the NFL Network, you are out of luck.

Charter Communications is a joke. I used to work the tech call center in Louisville, they don't give a hoot about their customers. They are just tryin to save their a$$es for all the money they lose.

NFL network.... figures the Cowboys game would be on there since their owner is in on it.

Except this game was scheduled on the NFL Network long before Jerry Jones was named Chairman.

Re: Packers-Cowboy game on NFL Network

I believe the NFL Network ran Thursday night games last year too for the first time, so this is no real surprise. They just happened to land a real interesting one is all. I know I was fortunate enough to have the network for a while till Comcast bumped it back to the sports tier. But it's not like I miss it with ESPN around.
