The headline pretty much says it all. Packers QB Brett Favre is going to give it one more go this season, and he did it before the draft. I've been hard on the guy, but at least he made up his mind before Green Bay was on the clock. And hey... if he plays well, he may set a new career passing record or two by the end of the year.

What kind of season do you guys think he will have?

Cool Re: Packers confirm QB Favre will return

I honestly have no idea how Favre will do. It depends on how good the team is around him. If he gets the protection he had last year, he'll throw a million picks. If he gets better protection and every one of his RB's don't get hurt, he'll do okay. Pose that question at the end of August and the answer will be clearer.

Re: Packers confirm QB Favre will return

i think this is a mistake for the Packers

they would be better off without him in my opinion

just what can they hope for this year ?

maybe at the ultimate best 8-8 ?

and what does that get them ?

a lower draft pick next year thats what

they should have let them go and sucked again next year for being better sooner

everyone must admit they have no shot at even Conference championship with or without him, so why not build for the future

as long as he plays i say the draft picks may not be as good as they could be

sorry, i think he is a Hall of Famer but his career is basically done

Re: Packers confirm QB Favre will return

I don't think Brett Favre will have a great season this year. First of all, his age and health is a key factor this season. Another key factor is that his top wide-reciever, Javon Walker, was traded away from the Packers. In other words, Brett Favre won't have as many touchdowns (which we previously caught by Javon Walker).
