Aaron Rodgers sharp vs. Steelers

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers showed yesterday that the Green Bay Packers will be in good hands in the post-Favre era. According to the Associated Press, "Rodgers, 18-of-27 for 168 yards, produced the Packers' only touchdown by ending a 71-yard drive on their opening possession of the second half with a 3-yard scoring pass to Carlyle Holiday." I know it's only preseason, but the kid looks a lot better now than he has at any other time in his young pro career, wouldn't you say?

Re: Aaron Rodgers sharp vs. Steelers

Looks good enough that I'm thinking they should bench Favre and start Rodgers.

From what I saw, Packers' defense looked good against the run but the secondary was a little confused.

i really do feel bad for the kid....with mostly any other team in the league he would be the starter by now.....but not with the Pack.....by the time this kid starts he could be like 30......i dont know how old he is now....but he isnt getting any younger....the Pack need to move on after this year...and finally tell Brett we dont want you back.

Re: Aaron Rodgers sharp vs. Steelers

So if Favre starts throwing interceptions(again) do you think the fans will start screaming for Rodgers? And do you think coach would put him in?
(man, this is really hard for me to imagine)

Absolutely, Tex, I couldn't agree with you more.

Keeping Favre around is just keeping this team from fully rebuilding, something they're in deperate need of.
