Fox Sports New England is reporting that former Patriots K Adam Vinatieri stayed in Green Bay overnight as the Packers are preparing to offer him a contract. No terms were made public yet, but it looks as though he may be close to signing with the club. According to Rotowire.com, "the Pack is looking to grab a proven kicker that has shown an ability to kick in adverse conditions." I'd say Vinatieri fits that description.

Yeah, Vinateiri would be a great addition to the Packers, especially since they lost Longwell to the Vikings, I do believe.
