After watching Brett Favre embarass himself against an underwhelming Jets defense, I really think it's time for Brett to hang it up. I really think he's starting to taint his legacy as one of the best QB's of all time. Anybody else agree?

Agree 100%. I thought he should have retired at the end of last season. It is sad watching him waste away a brilliant career.
He'll still make that Hall of Fame, but with the fans, you are only as good as your last game.

Can't taint his legacy...Did Aaron taint it in Milwaukee?...did Mays taint it as a Met?...Unitas in San Diego?...O.J. in San Fransico?...Maybe its time to retire...but he is not going to taint it.

I agree, we might criticize him in the years right after his retirement, but when it comes to his lasting impression people will really focus on the good things he did. I gurantee you when I'm telling my grandkids about him someday, I will probably just remember the 90's and their Super Bowl run, I don't think he can taint his reputation, he's just a football player who no matter what won't give up, thats what has made him great.....
