Brett Favre Retire?

The big debate among Packer fans continues to be whether or not Brett Favre will retire. Personally, I think he's had a fantastic career, but its time for him to go. He just doesn't have the athletic ability to be a gunslinger anymore, and he hasn't been able to adapt and become a more conservative QB. You've got Aaron Rodgers, and it's time to use him, Green Bay. Anyone disagree?

Brett must Go........

I can't stand watching Farve play like he has the past couple of years. Your last impression sticks in your mind. He just looks awful and that is sad because he was so good for so long.

I hated to see Barry Sanders retire but my memory of him is total greatness.

Really enjoyed the last year or so seeing so much about what a leader he is to the Packers. Always a great disposition, he knows that he's getting paid well to play a game, a game he loves. So will Brett Favre retire? I'd guess it's time for him to hang it up now while we all are talking about his greatness.

Things is, it'd be really tough to have last season be the last impression we have of Favre in the Green and Gold.

He was still putting together good numbers until last year. And look at the injuries last season, not to mention that I don't think Sherman really new how to utlize Favre.

I would argue that Favre is still better than many starting QBs out there, and sure, he's no longer a top tier player, but if he had a #1 or #2 RB and a #1 WR helping him out, last year wouldn't have been such a disaster.

And maybe I'm just being sentimental, but I have my doubts about Rodgers. I say Favre should give it one more year in hopes of washing the 05 season out of our minds.

Yeah, you always want the great ones to go out on top. Who wants to remember Jerry Rice as a Seahawk or Bronco? But what makes you think that next season would go any better for him. His OL hasn't gotten any better, yet anyway. You'd get some guys back from injury and add some talent in the draft, but conversely, Favre would be another year older and his body would become that much less responsive to what he wants to do. It'd be tough for him to pull together another decent season, if you ask me.
