| Canadian Open Mike Weir is in a three-way tie for the lead with Eric Axley and rising star Anthony Kim. Yesterday's opening round saw him shoot a six-under-par 65.
We love Weir up here - Ames ha been playing better but Weir is a huge crowd favourite. He is such a nice guy, too.
Apparently, fan are so noisy for him, the rest of his threesome grows frustrated with the hubub.
The noise was bothering the caddy for Todd Hamilton, one of Weir's playing partners, and he called out: "Hey, there's three players in this group."
Glen Abbey was rain-soaked afte a day of torrential downpour two days back but it's all a go now.
Let's see if Weir can hang in there. from the star:
(Weir's) playing the Abbey in an official capacity for the first time since his playoff loss to Vijay Singh in 2004.
