Annika Sorenstam is designing a golf course in Canada, the first in North America that she'll plan from scratch as the 10-time major tournament winner looks toward life after professional golf. It's the fourth course-design project for the 37-year-old Swede as she seeks to build her brand in a male-dominated industry. Former LPGA golfers Amy Alcott and Jan Stephenson are among the other females taking on the likes of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Jack Nicklaus in course design Sorenstam said she focused on design this year while recovering from neck and back injuries that contributed to her first winless season since her rookie year in 1994. She's won 69 LPGA tournaments during her career. The Stockholm native fell to third from first in the world rankings this season and said she doesn't know when she'll quit. ``To put it in golf terms, I would say I'm on the back nine,'' she said. ``I don't know if I'm just making the turn or I'm down on the 16th hole, but time will tell.''
