Keeping grip on weight

Robertson may be bigger but he's also getting better

ATLANTA --

Part of Giff Smith's job as Georgia Tech's defensive line coach is to supervise his players eating habits.

He's kicked a few overeaters out of the dining hall in his time. But when it comes to Darrell Robertson, Smith's focus is to keep the lanky defensive end from sneaking away from the buffet.
"I see him leaving and I make him go back and get another plate and sit down," Smith said. "He has such a high metabolism, he gets full quick and thinks he can leave. But if he waits a few minutes, he's found he can put some more down."
