ATLANTA - Teri Moren, head coach at the University of Indianapolis for the past seven years, has been named an assistant coach for the Georgia Tech women's basketball program, head coach MaChelle Joseph announced Tuesday.
"I am so excited for Georgia Tech, our women's basketball program, our players, and our staff to have someone of Teri's caliber and experience joining our program," said Joseph. "Her experience as a head coach the past seven years at the University of Indianapolis makes her a very valuable asset to the continued growth and development of our program.
"With the addition of Teri, we now have three members on our staff with head coaching experience. Associate head coach Mark Simons spent 17 years at the helm of multiple programs and our administrative coordinator Tandy Bradford led Kentucky Wesleyan for three years," added Joseph.
As the Indianapolis head coach, Moren compiled a 130-73 record, becoming the fastest women's coach in program history to reach 100 wins. Moren put together five consecutive winning seasons including three-straight seasons of 20-plus wins. Her teams reached three-consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament finals and three-consecutive NCAA Division II tournaments.
