Calvin Johnson - Best NFL Prospect

That's what most are thinking as we're heading down the wire in the college football season. I hear he's as high a rated WR going into the draft as Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss and Tim Brown. He likely won't be the #1 pick but he should go in the top #3.

Can any GT fans post some info on the cat?

Re: Calvin Johnson - Best NFL Prospect

I was definitely impressed with him from what I saw in the Notre Dame game. Johnson has 52 catches for 808 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season. The numbers pale in comparison to some other collegiate receivers, but the kid's 6-5, 235 pounds with good speed and skills. I think he'll make a fine pro receiver, especially if he lands with a QB like Peyton or Carson Palmer.

I doubt he lands with a QB like either of those. If he does go in the Top 5, he'll likely go to a team led by Matt Leinart, Jon Kitna (is he in Detroit?), Joey Harrington/Daunte Culpepper, Vince Young, etc.

Cards won't draft him with the receiving trio they have. I could see him going to Tennessee or Detroit (though Millen would certainly hear it for drafting YET ANOTHER wide receiver).
