Senior quarterback Joe Tereshinski is the current favorite to take over for D.J. Shockley for the Georgia Bulldogs. It will be hard for the 6-3, 217 pounder to fill the void left by the all-SEC QB Shockley, but he did complete 25 of 49 pass attempts for 371 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs in limited action last season. The job isn't Tereshinksi's for sure, though, as redshirt freshman Joe Cox shined during the spring game. So, Georgia fans, will Tereshinski be your QB when the season opens, or will he lose the job to Cox?

Not a great start for Mr. Tereshinski. Midway through the third quarter against Western Kentucky, he's just 7-16 for 90 yards, 43.8% completion percentage, 1 TD, 0 INT. Can't say those are stellar numbers, especially considering the level of opposition. Cox, meanwhile, has already seen some action, going 2-2 for 30 yards. We'll have to keep an eye on this situation.

Word is that Tereshinski is on shaky ground after his performance against the Division I-AA Western Kentucky team. According to the AP, "Even though Tereshinski's stats were skewed by at least three dropped passes, an impressive showing by touted freshman Matthew Stafford late in the lopsided game quickly renewed the debate over who should be starting." Could this Stafford kid be working his way into the starting lineup? How long does Joe T. have to turn it around?
