Status of UGA's tight ends coach debated

Athens — Georgia recruit Carlton Thomas was hearing the same thing as everybody else Monday night — tight end coach Dave Johnson was headed to West Virginia to be the Mountaineer's offensive line coach.

Only Thomas had a little more insight since Johnson was the coach who recruited him to Georgia.

"I haven't heard from him. I am supposed to talk to him tomorrow," Thomas said. "But I heard (Johnson to WVU) a couple of days ago and then I heard it again tonight."

Georgia officials were unavailable for comment.
