This game was bad bad bad. Dawgs mounted a pretty good rally at the end but it was too late. Butler got ejected with 2 seconds remaining - Gonzaga threw the ball whole court and was trying to get a cheap dunk in the final 2 seconds and Butler grabbed him and brought him down.

Anyway our basketball team continues to suck

SPOKANE, Wash. --- Matt Bouldin scored 21 points and helped Gonzaga build a second-half lead big enough to withstand Georgia's late rally, holding off the Bulldogs 75-67 in a non-conference basketball game here Saturday night.


The Zags (11-4) took control of the game late in the first half but broke it open further in the second period. Bouldin's jumper with 8:07 left in the game got his team its biggest lead at 64-46. They matched it a minute later on a 3-pointer by Josh Heytvelt, pushing the score to 67-49.


Georgia climbed back into contention with a series of 3-point shots, as well as a trapping defense that forced a number of Gonzaga turnovers. Three straight long shots, two by Sundiata Gaines and a third by Billy Humphrey pulled the Bulldogs back within 10 at 68-68 with 3:59 left. Gaines' steal and layup with 2:02 left got Georgia within seven at 72-65.


Despite multiple opportunities to trim the lead even more but were never able to get closer than the 7-point deficit.
