| A.J. Harmon Switches to UGA Lineman A.J. Harmon switches to Georgia | ajc.com Lineman A.J. Harmon switches to Georgia By CARTER STRICKLAND The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 01/05/08 SAN ANTONIO — Big as he is at 6 foot 5, 320 pounds, A.J. Harmon sure did change directions quickly. As of Saturday, Harmon is a Georgia guy. For the previous five-plus months, he had been a Clemson guy. Times change and apparently so did Harmon's mind. The lineman from Jefferson County made his recruiting announcement in front of a national TV audience Saturday during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome. The saga of Harmon is one that has been followed closely by fans and coaches over the past year. Long identified as possibly the best prospect the Peach State, Harmon made the combine and camp circuit last season. At the time, he appeared to be a lock to sign with Georgia a month from now. But Harmon formed a bond with Tommy Bowden and chose Clemson. Harmon still attended most of Georgia's home games and the Bulldogs' coaching staff held a spot for him in the recruiting class. |

| Re: A.J. Harmon Switches to UGA Yeah Strickland has an article going about him still not sure. But another says the reason he didn't go with UGA was because we ran out of schollies...then we got one (probably Barnes leaving). I'll actually be surprised if he wears red/black. All the previous articles really had him bonding with Bowden so I personally think he'll go with Clemson in the end. |
