Can someone who actually knows explain how the SEC decides who plays in the SEC Championship game? I thought that you had to win your division as in... have the best record in the east or west. My friend is trying to tell me I'm wrong that all SEC games count. In other words he is saying that if UGA (east) plays Auburn (west) and lets say the Dawgs win (like thay did) that it helps UGA to get to the SEC Championship game. If that is the case... why have an east/west division??????
If you know the answer to this please tell me how it is decided.. if not.. please let someone that "KNOWS FOR SURE" answer it... We are about to come to blows over it

(not really) but he's a *$*^%*ing VOL fan (which might explain his lack of understanding). If I'm wrong then I'll tell him I'm wrong.. but I don't think I am. Thanks in advance for the help.
