ATLANTA (AP) -- Eighth-ranked Georgia makes its final quest for a spot in the Southeastern Conference championship game on Saturday, although a victory over No. 22 Kentucky may not be enough to get them there. A victory would clinch a tie, but No. 19 Tennessee also could glean a share by winning its last two conference games against Vanderbilt this week and Kentucky next week. Victories in those two would put the Vols in the title game because of their victory over Georgia earlier in the season. Georgia has dominated Kentucky through the years and the Bulldogs are 71/2-point favorites to lift their series advantage to 48-11-2 on Saturday. It's an even bigger advantage in Athens where the Dogs are 24-3-2 against the 'Cats.
Kentucky hasn't won in Athens since demolishing the Bulldogs 33-0 in 1977, a game that Great Britain's Prince Charles attended. It's been 14 losses in a row in Sanford Stadium since then.
