Jerseys were Bulldogs' dark secret

Players, coach don't reveal black jerseys until gametime

By CHIP TOWERS

Athens — As it turns out, Mark Richt is quite the schemer.
The Georgia coach revealed after Saturday's win that the black jerseys the team wore against Auburn have been in storage since this past summer. And not only that, but Richt had every intention of unveiling them on this particular day.

Re: Jerseys were Bulldogs' dark secret

Yeah he talked about this on the post-game show last night. I started to come over and start a thread about it to post the scoop but figured you guys would rather read it in an article. Anyway I hope they keep the jerseys as a special kind of thing rather than start using them a lot. I had a feeling they'd end up coming out in black but for some reason I thought it'd be black jerseys and black pants (glad it wasn't!). He was asked today in the Richt Show about the jerseys (it was the "water girl has a question for coach" on what was to be expected next for these jerseys). Richt said he expects the guys to want to play in them next weekend (he didn't say they would, didn't say they wouldn't) and said they will probably play in them during the bowl game if it turns out we're the home team.

Speaking of bowl games - wonder where they will end up? If they don't make the SEC title game and LSU beats Tenn earning a BCS Championship invite the Dawgs could end up in the Sugar.

First and foremost the team needs to remain focused and not get to dreaming like us! KY could sneak up and get us if so.

I think we win out. I think UT wins out (possible KY will beat them, but not highly probable). I think LSU beats UT in the SECCG.

I think we go to Sugar Bowl and play Hawaii - and win.

We need to put a good whipping on KY and on GT. It'll help us in the final rankings.

It's shaping up as LSU vs OREGON in the championship game.

But this is a wacky season and nothing I said above may even come remotely true.

Yep - FOCUS and more FOCUS

I like your thoughts - Hawaii - that would be a fun high scoring game.
