| Crowded sideline against the Trojans By CHIP TOWERS The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 11/02/07 Athens — Georgia coach Mark Richt hopes to find enthusiasm in numbers. The Bulldogs on Thursday wrapped up their preparations for Saturday's homecoming game against Troy, and Richt tried to make sure all the practices were spirited by dangling a carrot in front of the 50 or so walk-ons and scout-team players. "I told them early in the week that my goal was for every one of them to dress," Richt said. "I told them the only way you could not dress was to not pull your weight in practice. We wanted everybody to do their part this week, and we feel like they did." As a result, 124 players will be in uniform on Georgia's sideline. SEC teams are limited to 70 players on the dress-out roster, so the sideline will be considerably more crowded than usual. It also means there will be multiple players with the same jersey numbers, and getting ready in the locker room and at halftime will be a challenge. But Richt said it's worth the trouble. More Here
