JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Mark Richt wanted an overt celebration after his team's first touchdown Saturday against Florida. The Bulldogs went overboard with the Richt-endorsement outburst -- but that early event became the symbol of the night when No. 20 Georgia threw the monkey off its back in a series that has recently tilted heavily in the ninth-ranked Gators' favor. Their excessive celebration after Georgia scored on its first drive sent an immediate message to the hated Gators that they were in for a fight. It sent the Bulldogs on the way to a 42-30 win at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium that gave Georgia its third win in 18 tries against Florida. "We needed it, just to let us know to have fun. Sometimes we go into games and we play tight and we're worried about making mistakes," Georgia receiver Mikey Henderson said. More here
