| Stafford, Tebow drawing praise, comparisons By CARTER STRICKLAND The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 10/25/07 Athens — Matthew Stafford knows everything Tim Tebow is doing. Not this moment, mind you. But the Georgia quarterback does keep an eye on the Florida quarterback's exploits. "It is hard not to," Stafford said. "He's everywhere you look." He's running over tacklers. He's passing with precision. He's splitting atoms with his bare hands (well, not really). The hyperbole has been in hyper drive ever since Tebow moved from home school to Florida. Georgia coach Mark Richt has even participated. "He is unique," Richt said. "How many guys are there like Tebow over the last 20 years? Guys that were that unique are household names today." It was two years ago that both Tebow and Matthew Stafford were household names in the world of college recruiting. The two, along with Mitch Mustain, were pegged as the top quarterback prospects in the country in 2006 and possibly the best three quarterbacks to ever sign with SEC schools in the same year.
