| Nasty fall doesn't sideline Bulldogs' punter ATHENS, Ga. -- BY DAVID CHING dching@ledger-enquirer.com ------ Georgia's Brian Mimbs had one of his most productive games as a Bulldog against Tennessee, punting seven times and averaging more than 48 yards per kick. Most punters would be glad to post those numbers in any game. What makes them remarkable is what happened to the junior from Dublin, Ga., on the Wednesday before the game. Following that afternoon's practice, Mimbs went home and was cleaning up around his apartment. He walked out on his balcony and attempted to heave the contents of a pot onto the hill behind the second-story dwelling. In doing so, his momentum carried him up against the balcony railing, only to have it give way and send him plummeting to the ground. "I leaned up against the rail, it wasn't stable and it just kinda fell over and I went down with it," Mimbs said. "I fell about 10 or 15 feet on my back." Luckily for Mimbs, he wasn't seriously injured in the fall, escaping with a painfully bruised tailbone. It was enough to keep him out of the next day's practice, but he said it wasn't a problem once he took the field at Neyland Stadium. "It was a little sore and I could tell that it was there, but it never affected me that much as far as kicking. After the game it was pretty sore, but with adrenaline pumping in a game like that, it's really hard to tell anything was wrong." Lucky Bounce
