| Richt 'excited' about indoor facility prospects By CARTER STRICKLAND The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 10/20/07 Athens — Georgia coach Mark Richt believes an indoor practice facility could be in the "very near future.""I am excited," Richt said. "We are going to start fund-raising and we are going to have the indoor be a part of this build." The build is part of an expansion plan that includes redoing the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall. That would include redoing the weight room and the training facility. But while Richt appears on the fast track, athletics director Damon Evans was more prudent in his choice of words. Evans said a priority list would be made and presented to the athletic association board and voted on before any ground is broken. "Hopefully, it will be sooner than we all think," Richt said.
