| Scouting Georgia basketball Scouting Georgia basketball By MATT WINKELJOHN The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 10/12/07 Six months after Florida clipped the nets at the Georgia Dome, college basketball teams are getting ready to tip off another season. With practice starting Saturday, we take a quick tour of the Georgia basketball -- and beyond. • Newcomer of note: The Bulldogs added five freshmen to their roster since last season. None promises to have more of an impact than forward Jeremy Price. The Columbia High grad has impressed coaches and teammates with his ability to bang — and score — under the boards. At 6 feet 8, 270 pounds, Price gives coach Dennis Felton the potential dominant rebounder and space-eater he desires in his defense-oriented system, and Price has displayed the strength to compete on the SEC level. Georgia will also look for outside shooting help and backcourt defense from wings Jeremy Jacob and Troy Brewer, inside scoring from forward Chris Barnes and ball distribution from point guard Zac Swansey.
