| What’ll it take to win in Knoxville? By Chip Towers | Monday, October 1, 2007, 03:17 PM The Atlanta Journal-Constitution We’re entering Week 6 of the college football season and I’m probably as unsure about Georgia and its opponent this week, Tennessee, as I’ve ever been this far into a season. The Bulldogs don’t suck. That’s about as flattering a comment and astute an observation as I can muster for them at this point. I thought from the beginning they were too flawed a team to be considered a championship contender, what with youth on the offensive line and on defense. But, even after that inglorious loss to South Carolina in Week 2, all of Georgia’s championship possibilities remain intact. A win at Tennessee this Saturday — in what amounts to an elimination game for both teams — could change my perspective considerably. What'll it take to win in Knoxville? | UGA | ajc.com

| Re: What’ll it take to win in Knoxville? TN's rush defense has been terrible thus far. So our backs should have a field day. TN leads the SEC in pass offense. So Ainge is going to get his yardage but we have to try to take away the long pass threat or he will kill us all day. One of the key things that cost TN many potential scores in their 2 losses this year was their inability to score in the Red zone and their inablity to get 1st down on 3d and short. This was due to a poor running attack. Eventually Coker is going to break bad...I just hope it ain't this game! So keys to me are: 1. Have a good run game 2. Stafford dead on and not erratic 3. Shut down Ainge long pass attack; stuff their run |
