Vince Vance expected to work his way into increased playing time this season, but he didn't expect it to happen quite this way.

Until last Tuesday, the monstrous junior college transfer had worked exclusively in games and practices as Trinton Sturdivant's backup at left tackle. But because of injuries to both Clint Boling and Scott Haverkamp in last Tuesday's practice, Vance's role on Georgia's line became much more significant.
