| No. 13 Georgia 35, Oklahoma State 14 ATHENS, Ga. Georgia received stellar play from several of its young guns Saturday night, but a number of the team's old hands also had some say as the No. 13 Bulldogs defeated Oklahoma State 35-14 and won their 11th consecutive home opener. Scoring three times on the ground and twice through the air, the Bulldogs found themselves in a battle at the end of the first half, but touchdown drives to begin the third and fourth quarters gave Georgia the breathing room it needed. Looking like a veteran, sophomore quarterback Matthew Stafford hit freshman tight end Bruce Figgins on an 11-yard pass with 9:43 left in the third quarter and then found flanker Michael Moore open on a 9-yard scoring strike with 11:11 remaining in the game to break open a seven-point game and shut the door on Oklahoma State. The Bulldogs' young defense, with only 40 combined career starts between the starting 11, withstood the potent Cowboys offense, bending but rarely breaking. Oklahoma State managed but 91 yards in the first half and just 243 yards overall. No. 13 Georgia 35, Oklahoma State 14 09/02/07
