| Georgia Bulldog Softball ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia Bulldogs (33-22) welcome the Furman Paladins (14-24-1) to Athens on Wednesday for a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. EDT. Georgia holds a 9-1 all-time record against Furman, including a doubleheader sweep in Athens last season. The Bulldogs compiled a 2-3 mark last week after posting a doubleheader sweep over Mercer and dropping a three-game series at South Carolina. Megan McAllister set a new Georgia record for career home runs (43) with a two-run blast in the sixth inning of game three on Sunday. Furman dropped a three-game series to the College of Charleston last weekend. Amber Kiser leads the Paladins with a .336 batting average. Lane Mackey (7-10, 2.59 ERA) and Blake Murray (6-12, 3.09 ERA) have logged the majority of the innings in the circle for Furman in 2007. Wednesday is Dollar Dog Night at the UGA Softball Complex.
