Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Los Angeles ... and we're told it was cardiac arrest and that paramedics administered CPR in the ambulance ... and it's looking bad.

He was picked up at his home around 20 minutes ago -- we're told his mother is on the way to visit him.

UPDATE: The 911 call came in at 12:21PM at his Holmby Hills home in L.A.

UPDATE: A Jackson family member tells TMZ Michael is in "really bad shape" and the brothers are headed to UCLA.

UPDATE: We just got off the phone with Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who says "he is not doing well."

I am PAST sick and tired of hearing about Michael Jackson. For crying out loud, he's DEAD! Can we all get on with our lives now.

At this point, I'm more interested with the death of Billy Mays. And I know the family of Farrah Fawcett must be upset that they haven't gotten any attention.

On the other hand, you know that Mark Sanford has gotta be loving this. Because the "MICHAEL JACKSON DEATH WATCH" is eating up all the news time that would be going to his Fling with the Argentine.

He was one heck of an entertainer until he went weirdo. And it wasnt just the child molesting that was weird about him.
Its always sad when a human life is wasted like his was. And with so much talent.
All the crap that is coming out. And of course the media is exaggerating most of it.
But yes, he should have been in prison.
And since the public is eating all this news right up, that makes the public as sick as he was.

Are you sure, I thought I saw him at Taco Bell. I do have to say I did like some of his songs.
