| Oh, Just Stop It! I believe that probably everyone has a pet peeve which gets their thong in a wad. You know. The type of action that when you see it you unconsciously revert back to your more primitive instincts and want to flip some one off or just yell, "YOU STUPID, INCONSIDERATE, OBNOXIOUS @#!*@#%&*#!!! What are yours? Mine, at this point in time, are:
Anyone got any others? Let's do some mental health work and get them off your chest.

| Re: Oh, Just Stop It! Cell phone use in general. People that talk on the phone in checkout lines, when ordering food, driving, you name it, it's annoying. Folks that lie. I don't care if it's you age, weight, or what it is. It's a lot easier, I think, to tell the truth than to make up some elaborate lie. Last but not least, how PC we've gotten as a country. Which goes back to the line above.

| Re: Oh, Just Stop It! I kinda hope you do. I would feel zero guilt for hitting the insurance company of a cell phone talker up for massive ammounts of dinero for whiplash plus misc. back and neck injuries and mental anguish. Usually I find such litigation dispicable but for people who endanger others by using a cell phone while driving, the end justifies the means. |

| Re: Oh, Just Stop It! I think every one of the things mentioned up to this point fall under my 2 biggest gripes:
when folks intentionally do or don't do something because "someone else will 'cause it's their job" then they are exhibiting the height of ego - that others aren't as "important" as them. here's a fact of life: that bus bearing down on you jaywalking don't care if you're "better" or not .. it'll flatten you "equally" as flat either way. "shopping cart deserters" need to have a couple carts tied to their front and back bumpers .. just for grins ever ride in someone's car or truck and there's several weeks worth of old french fries and partially used ketchup packets strewn all over? that's always the day I have my best clothes on another hot one for me is folks who intentionally straddle the parking spot dividing line so no one can park next to them. whenever I see that and I'm in my beat-up ol' dually with the big ol' iron pipe bumpers on it, guess where I park?

At one time I had a bundle of business sized cards I would leave under wipers on such cars, thanking them for their rude and inconsiderate parking practices and wishing them the joy of having the fleas from a dozen camels infest their groin area. |

| Re: Oh, Just Stop It! I have one more peeve which is becoming more and more common and it shows what the telephone has done to common social decency. I really dislike talking to someone on their home phone when, in the middle of the conversation they say, "Just a minute. I have another call." People who are so shallow that they can't bear to know that someone else is trying to call them without responding, are just too rude for me to communicate with and when/if they return to my call they find a dead line. |

another thing I enjoy doing to annoyers: getting into their conversation with them and their bluetooth device hanging on the side of their head. I started doing it when I was strolling down a grocery store aisle and the only other person on the aisle approached my direction and started talking (I thought to me!) then ensued an hilarious (in retrospect) conversation among "us"... now when I do it, the "target" usually doesn't even recognize my ridicule of their telephone manners - they think I am the rude one |

| Re: Oh, Just Stop It! I think the whole argument about cell phones is simply based on the generations people have been brought up in...i would assume of course, i don't know the actual ages of anyone on the site and am only basing this on previous comments about peoples ages. anyway...having a cell phone has become as common as anything for people in society today, yes i agree that people who talk with the phone up against their ear is annoying especially as it is evident that they cannot talk and drive at the same time but if you get a call in a grocery store are you expected to drop your shopping and go outside and answer it? or be expected to whisper as various babies begin to cry for no reason and wives scream to their husbands from aisle to aisle about what kind of popcorn they should buy? as for the argument of caller waiting...yes it is annoying that a person cuts a call short just to answer another one and leave you on the line, but what if its an important call? are you expected to leave it so you can continue talking about the weather with the person you are talking to? as for the rest of peoples pet peeves i totally agree...people not being able to park in spaces properly, people who get annoyed when THEY almost hit YOU, the people that want a discount on a 50p air freshener that they are going to put in their Ferrari...i could go on and on

| Re: Oh, Just Stop It! oh and another pet peeve of mine...Pretentious People... you know the type im talking about, the people who walk about with an air of greatness about them because they; drive a 4x4, own a gold watch, have $10 more than you etc... it just infuriates me when people such as this walk around like they are so much better than the average man and think they are rich and powerful because they own a hardware store with their brother and were once in the same state as Donald Trump or Warren Buffet |
