But whatever, everyone have a very merry Christmas. I'll think of all of you up north on Christmas Day when we have our annual and traditional Christmas BBQ on our back patio. Hopefully I'll hear my air conditioner turn "ON" again this year.

Hope Santa leaves you a chunk of coal in your stocking. And the reindeer crap all over your patio.

Really, I do. I was born and raise up in the mid west where there were weeks where the temperature never got above 0° and the snow was often waist deep to a tall Indian. I hated it! But I just thought that was the way things just had to be, and knew no different. Then I joined the Navy and one year I spent Christmas in the Phillipines (where the Christmas greeting is " Maligayang Pasko") and realized that there truly was a God and I DID NOT have to freeze suffer from November to April. Temporary insanity took me back to Indiana for a year but halfway through my first winter I decided enough was enough and rejoined the Canoe Club, and since then have been warm every winter except a three year period when I was stationed in Roanoke, VA. There is a whole lot I dislike about the South but the weather sure isn't one of them. I heartily recommend it as a place to live. |
