Christmas Memories

I'm trying to remember some Christmas memories. The first one which comes to mind is the old Christmas tree light. When one blew out the whole string went out and you had to replace each bulb until you found the blown one.

Making Christmas ornaments at school, usually consisting of red or green construction paper, glue and some creative drawing.

Going rabbit hunting with my father and uncle on Christmas day.

I'm sure that if anyone adds their memories it'll jog my rather feeble mind and some more remembrances will pop up.

I was pretty fortunate. I don't have any real seriously bad memories of Christmas as a kid.

Re: Christmas Memories

I remember one of the things we did when I was a little one, my mom would make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, put it on a plate with a couple of cookies, and set it on the table with a glass of milk, in the room where the Christmas tree was. That was the last thing we did before me and my sister went to bed. When we got up the next morning to see what Santa brought, the sandwich was all gone except for a piece of the crust, the cookies were all gone except for some crumbs in the plate, and the glass of milk was empty. We were just as excited to see if Santa took a break at our house to eat what we left him, as we were to see the few things he left under our tree.
