| Re: Fight 4- Bears9 vs yo skinny man Just make Brady Quinn the man, what do you have the lose? You're the Cleveland Browns for God's sake I hate God Awful teams making conversative desicions for example (This is a baseball reference but whatever) The Nationals probably won't sign Stephan Strasburgh, why? They are the Nationals they should be throwing everything they have money wise at him. It makes no sense. Derek Anderson, yeah he's ok throws a few too many pics but is a solid guy but if you're as bad as the Browns you don't need solid you need great. Brady Quinn could be great we don't know if he will, we Derek Anderson isn't great. When you're as bad as the Browns you need to go for it with a guy who has tons of potental but may be a little rough around the edges, again I repreat they are the Cleveland Browns just throw caution into the wins and go for it.

| Re: Fight 4- Bears9 vs yo skinny man First of all, yes, I think it's a good idea to pick one guy, and stick with him. I mean, if you choose and make it known, then your QB can let go of all of that pressure that if he makes one bad throw, it could be his last... that thought in the back of your mind has to make you more likely to make a bad throw! Second, I think the Browns should go with Derek Anderson, though I'd guess they give Quinn the nod. But I like Derek Anderson because you know he can produce. In fact, he's just one year removed from a PRO-BOWL season! That's two words that Quinn hasn't even come close to. Also, It's not like Quinn is way younger or anything, he's nearly 25, while Derek Anderson is just 26.... so youth shouldn't play a factor. Anderson has produced, in the last two seasons, he's thrown 5,402 yards while Quinn has just passed for 562. In those two years, Quinn has a 2:2 TD:INT ratio.. while Anderson has 38:27 TD:INT ratio-- considerably better! I don't see why you don't think Anderson can't get better than he has been, he will grow just like Quinn and has the ability to be a great QB. We know he has the ability to be a Pro-Bowler, what do you know about Quinn, not much... I wouldn't bet the house on someone who has done nothing in the NFL, I'd go with the ex-probowler!

| Re: Fight 4- Bears9 vs yo skinny man Ok nice little stats I have a few of my own, Brady Quinn hadn't played competive football that counted for a year and half he was probably a little rusty we need to see Brady Quinn over a large scale of time than just three games also we need to keep in mind the game where he threw the two interceptions was the one he had the season ending injury in. Also last year you pointed out Quinns TD/INT Ratio was 2:2 last year which happens to be his whole career well last year Anderson's TD/INT Ratio was 9/8 and being average for 11 games is a lot worse than being average for three games, one of which you broke your thumb. But other than all these stats and crap we also have to consider we've seen flashes of Brady Quinn being a great QB from his days at Notre Dame and his debut game against the Broncos. We know Derek Anderson is decent, but they're the Cleveland Browns they don't need decent they need great. It's time to go for it, they drafted Brady Quinn to be the guy not the guy with the clipboard. Plus they are the Browns they have to take risks lol |

| Re: Fight 4- Bears9 vs yo skinny man Bears, the Browns drafted Quinn to be their guy when Derek Anderson was nothing more than a project. They had every intention of playing Quinn but then Anderson beat him out for the job... so they figured they'd ease him into the position, then Anderson threw for 29 TD's and nearly 4,000 yards, and was selected to the pro-bowl... All after they had drafted Brady. They are not handcuffed to Quinn, and now they have found another guy who can run, and scramble around the pocket, throw on the run, and really whip the ball around. He is like Favre a little, cuz he isn't affraid to throw any ball, and that bites him sometimes, but it also rewards him other times. The browns have struggled the last few years, but not because of their QB as much as the defense and rushing game. Just because they are the Browns they don't have to cross their fingers and hope Quinn is a homerun. It's not like Quinn is leaps and bounds ahead of Anderson, or ahead at all for that matter. The last two seasons Anderson has left camp with the job, because he has played better during it! If Quinn had shown flashes of brilliance in cleveland he would be the starter there. Another thing is that it's not like his was the number one overall draft pick. He dropped to the 22nd overall pick... yes that means that two years later, JOSH FREEMAN was a higher pick at 17... and if the Bucks don't end up starting him and instead find a pro-bowler, noone would bat an eye... I could see if he was the first overall selection, but 22 doesn't make him a must play. Clearly lots of teams didn't see enough in him to draft him in the first round, so like I say, go for the pro-bowler! |

| Re: Fight 4- Bears9 vs yo skinny man Ok but last year proved why Anderson was a project, he ok but they are the Browns they need more than ok, Brady Quinn could be more than ok or he could be a huge flop. You mentioned Anderson's skill set, but Quinn has a very similiar skill set and throw the ball farther. What do they have to lose in crossing their fingers and hoping for Quinn to be good I think he will be very good, you can't judge him over those four games, but you can judge Anderson and from what we know he is decent but not great. The Browns are so bad they need great at this point. The Browns didn't think Quinn was ready the first year and last year Anderson was coming off a huge year he deserved it, but he lost the job. Now they need just go for it and let Brady have a chance and go for it. Than you said Josh Freeman was picked higher than him, so? It's my fault the Bucs made a bad pick and a bunch of teams missed the Brady Quinn boat. No one in their right mind thinks Josh Freeman deserves to be picked that high and I don't think anyone thinks that Brady should've gone so low. It shouldn't hurt Brady's chance at being starter. |

| Re: Fight 4- Bears9 vs yo skinny man You say quinn could be a huge flop... so why take that chance when you've got a guy that will give you quality production!?! Ever think that maybe the Anderson that is real is the pro-bowl one, and not the one from last season when Edwards couldn't catch a ball and the team had terrible chemistry and the flopped back and forth on QB's? Clearly the bucs think that freeman was that good, and the reason it does matter where he is drafted is that with his low salary and draft position, it doesn't handcuff the team into making him the starter! what do they have to lose? they have a pro-bowl quality QB to lose! if quinn is a flop and they move on from anderson, then they could lose anderson, if they cut or trade him! Anderson is proven, go with the guy you know can be a pro-bowler! |
