As listed in the forum rules, we do not allow flaming here at GoTeamsGo.com.

This is a fundamental rule here and it's a big part of the reason we've grown so quickly. Many other sports forums are nothing more than a place for people to insult others and make personal attacks. If you're tired of places like that, you've found your home among the rest of the sports fans here at GoTeamsGo.

Recently, we've had a fantastic surge of new members sign up and make some posts on some controversial sporting events. Most of the new members have respected our forum rules. If you're one of those new members, welcome to our community. We're excited to grow and to get the fresh opinions that come from new members. Unfortunately, 2 of the recent people who signed up completely disregarded our rules.

The main philosophy here at GoTeamsGo is that you can slam any team/athlete/driver but you can not direct any abusive comments at another member. Don't take it personal & don't make it personal.

Members That Don't Belong Here
If you can't seperate the messenger from the message, you don't belong here.
If you can't debate a point and you have to turn it into an argument, you don't belong here.
If you can't seperate attacks on your favorite (team, athlete, driver...) from attacks on you, you don't belong here.
If you can't defend you favorite (team, athlete, driver...) without resorting to name calling and personal insults, you don't belong here.

I will NOT put up with posters making insults, attacks or threats against our members. The 2 jerks that have caused trouble here in the last couple days have been permanently banned.

On the flipside, we're not trying to make this a forum that's devoid of all humor & fun. So a final point:
If you're so sensitive that you can't take a little ribbing from other fans, you don't belong here. There's a difference between flaming (abusive, mean-spirited comments) and good natured smack talk.

How You Can Help
I appreciate that several of you used the "Report a Post" feature to alert the moderators and me about their posts. That's the best thing you can do to help us keep this forum a fun place to discuss sports.

On each post, there is a red & white triangle in the top right corner. Click that & give us a short message about the post in question. Once you click the "Send Report" button, any moderator who is online will be notified and we can deal with it asap.

BTW, you can also use the report post function to let us know when any of the forum rules are broken. Feel free to use it even if no rule has been broken but there's something that should be called to the attention of me or the other moderators.
