Shot in Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.
The incident happened near 2nd South & Lea Avenue. A female victim was also found dead.
According to Don Aaron with the Metro Nashville Police Department, no suspects have been taken into custody. Several people were being taken to police headquarters for questioning.

Im still in shock and to be honest I don't know what to say...

The only thing I can think of is the last two seasons with the Titans where he played with a broken sternum and he still played at the highest place, getting huge hits and still getting up...

No other man I have ever watched deserves to have worn the jersey and be known as a true Titan more than Steve McNair...he literally opitimsed what it was to be a Titan and I for one will miss him very, very much

Right there with you alex. To me he was the Titans. He put us on the map and was loved for many reasons.

I have always been a fan of Steve McNair. His toughness on the field was incredible.

Last I heard , no details given.
Dont believe the female was his wife though.
And I remember McNair liked to play with guns. It looks like it caught up with him.
But still, a great tragedy for fans everywhere.

So far they have said he was sitting on the couch and shot in the temple. The female was on the floor. Murder/suicide?

What horrible news! OMG!!! I followed Steve McNair since he was at Alcorn State and was drafted by the Houston Oilers, later to become the Titans after they moved to Nashville. And now he's gone... just like that!

The police said his death was a homicide which means it was either manslaughter or murder and I am thinking the latter. The woman they found in the condo with him had a gunshot wound to her head and they found a gun under her body which makes it seem that she killed him then shot herself but the cops aren't saying that much.

No matter what though, he didn't deserve to go this way. Not that way. So sad...
