This thread is for people to share their opinions on football.

Some of you may be aware of the "Love Is..." newspaper clippings...so in this thread I want people to let fly with their feelings about the game, both likes and dislikes

Here are a few examples to get the ball rolling

Football Is...the feeling you get when your team scores a last second field goal in over time...and then how stupid you feel when you realise its only week one

Football Is...so overrun by commercialism that we probably see more commercials per game, than completed passes

I agree football is rediculous when It comes to commercials.

Its like one commercial per down it seems these days, its horrible.


But back to the game, I look forward to it everyweek.

I can have a horrible week, but I will still be happy because I know football is on Sunday morning.

Waking up Sunday morning to turn on the game has to be one of the best feelings in the world for me.

Sunday ticket all day. I want football to start!!!

Football is oh **** you scream when your terrible QB throws an INT. Football is the rush you feel when your hard hitting safety lays out an unexpected reciever coming across the middle

I struggled with this because I never have been able to define what it is I like about the game.
Agree with both BP and Bears though. Cant wait until Sundays. I plan for it, wait for it.
I say Oh S### a lot the last few seasons with the Boys
But football is that heart stopping moment when the qb releases the ball, its the hold your breath at a goal line stand, its the yes, yes when the ball is caught for a touchdown.

Football is way too many rules, way too many stops for stupid reasons by the refs. Football is way too much money for way underperforming so called Super Stars. Football is players, coaches, owners going with the party line instead of maybe just a bit of truth.

the passion of our country.
what fills our weekends with fun.
what we all wait for.
