Thoughts on Brett Favre

The story of Brett Favre to the Minnesota Vikings is a story that just refuses to die. NFL is reporting on it once again tonight. Apparently Brett sent Xrays of his shoulder to the Vikings. The owner's brother says it is up to Brett at this time.
Darren Sharper texted to NFL that Brett was undecided yet. He ran up 100 stadium steps and felt like he was 39 years old. Reports say he was throwing a ball to the receivers at the local high school like he did last year to see how the arm was.
I live in Wisconsin and I am surrounded by Packer fans. For the most part last year they were devastated that Brett wasnt wearing the green and gold.
This year, well, they sound different. Groans and moans greet the latest Favre news and cries of "Give it up Brett" can be heard. They are tired of the commotion, and they are sick of Brett.
Wonder if Brett is aware of what his former fans are saying?

My guess is that he cannot hear all the groans through the stacks of money.

Re: Thoughts on Brett Favre

He needs to say retired but if he wants to come back, risk the health of his partially torn shoulder, whatever I don't care. He screw over the Vikings and kill their 2009 season, I don't mind I'm a Bears fan lol

Re: Thoughts on Brett Favre

Why does he have to send the X-rays to the Vikings to find out if he needs major surgery? You would think that who ever took the X-rays would be able to tell him that. I think Brett just got bored and missed the attention so now he needs to tease Vikings fans. I really don't think he is coming back

Re: Thoughts on Brett Favre

It's time for Brett Favre to call it a career. If the Vikings don't make the playoffs with Favre, then I predict Brad Childress will be the Offensive Coordinator for the New England Patriots in 2010.

I don't think it so much about his desire to play as it is his desire to retire ... OH WAIT !!!! I've decided I wanna play even though I cried my heart out. Did he play well ??? I guess it is a matter of opinion. He didn't excel in my view. Make a decision and stick with it. Is that so difficult. To me, he looks like a genuine fool.

Maybe he has Alzheimers and he keeps forgetting he retired

Re: Thoughts on Brett Favre

Everyone forgets to mention that the reason he played so poorly last season was because of his shoulder.
I think he has enough left in the tank that if his shoulder is healed and he is in shape, he and the Vikings can make a big splash in the playoff pool.
And after thinking about it, simon is exactly right. If he wants to play, he has every right to. And as for Packer fans who are turning against Favre, its what they get for idolizing a player.
If he comes back and still can play, more power to him.

If you want to play then PLAY.Don't say you retiring then comeback play again then retire AGAIN.Drop the drama train and just play.

Seldom do shoulder injuries for old QB's ever go away. Honcho makes a great point, in my view, by saying that he is the one who retired, came back, retired and will again try to come back. I don't care if he plays until he's 70. Just make up your mind and do it. Don't sit in front of the camera's and cry and then return. You appear as some sort of wacko. My respect-o-meter sits on "E" right now.
