Re: Early Surprise Prediction I like the Jacksonville pick, that team is perenially under the radar. They could have gone 19-0 last year and people would still forget about them. Personally, they were in the playoffs last year, but I think Tampa has all the necessary components too make a Superbowl run. St. Louis is another NFC team worth adding too the list. I would like to place The Eagles on this list, but with no receivers and an aging defense, it seems unlikely. In the AFC Miami seems to be a trendy pick, but I like Baltimore to stir things up and Kansas City with Herm Edwards as the head coach, maybe he can instill some defensive fundementals into that squad.

Re: Early Surprise Prediction For my surprise team, I'm going to keep riding the bandwagon I've been riding all offseason, the Arizona Cardinals. Maybe not to make the conference championships, but at least to make the playoffs and most likely win a playoff game. Personally, I think the bust team this year will be the Steelers. They lost some key personnel, their top draft pick will probably be in jail for the start of the season, their QB's status is uncertain and I'm not sold on a Duce Staley - Willie Parker time share at halfback. Look for an 8-8 season out of them.

Re: Early Surprise Prediction I agree about the Steelers, Lefty Noob. We can't forget (even though we might want to) the Steelers got rid of Randle El this off-season, as with Plaxico Burress last off-season. They are running out of top recievers, and running-backs to give the ball to. I have a feeling this team is going to fall apart soon. Consider themselves lucky about last year's Super Bowl championship! Sorry, Steelers fans!

Re: Early Surprise Prediction The Giants finish 8-8 at BEST!!! This schedule is death! Its like they have to play the 92 Cowboys twice, the 85 Bears, the 89 Niners, the 83 Raiders, the 91 'Skins twice and finish it off with the the 5 Steeler Superbowl teams and 3 Dolphin teams. No team could win with the Giants 2006 schedule. Not even any of those legendary teams I mentioned and the Giants are FAR from that. Id take 8-8 with a huge smile at this point!
