Lost in the 60's would be my guess...Joe might have been a top guy, but his knees gave out much too soon...anyone remember his short stint with the Rams in the late 70's?...

I gave Joe Willy an honorable mention. I forgot all about poor Jim Kelly. You know that they changed the area code in Buffalo after he retired to 044.

JOHN ELWAY IS SOOOO OVER RATED HE WAS LIKE 500 for 9998165981656 in his passing completions. Even the Stinky Raiders could beat the broncos when they had john elway. Horrible aaron brooks was even better than him.

Should Rodgers have to throw a pass or two before making the top 20?...I mean I think the standard for the Hall is at least...so far his 48.2 lifetime passing rating is endearing...

Aaron Rodgers #4 of the past 30 years and better than John Elway and then a request for Dave Matthews tickets? Is this what's known as spamming cuz i'm kinda new to this message board thing.

Re: 5 Best NFL Quarterbacks over the last 30 years.

This here is the top 5 QB's haha

1) Jim Kelly- hes always overlooked, lets face it if he would have won those four Super Bowls hed be at the top of every list. Last time I checked Marino didnt win one either, oh Kelly's numbers arent good enough? Well this guy concentrated on winning games not padding his stats.
2) Joe Montana-there is no arguing with this guy
3) John Elway-"The Drive" enough said
4) Roger Staubach - I love watching old highlights of this guy in big D, a true gun slinger
5) Brett Favre- He is the epitome of a leader, and a true QB. No arm is like his, no heart is like his

Re: 5 Best NFL Quarterbacks over the last 30 years.

1. Brett Favre- Three MVP titles a super bowl and only 1 losing season. Give him another season and all of Dan Marino's records will be his. The guy is playing with hardly any support. His team is so young and the guy is always playing with something hurt. and how many rings does Marino and Manning have. 0000000000000000000000000000. You can't be on here, I dont care who you are without a ring.

2. Bradshaw- The rings
3. Brady- The rings

The rest are up to you for the order
Marino
Elway
Young
Manning

Brady is up there, but I don't think the Top 5 of all-time.

Where is Jim Thorpe?

Not all time MJH my friend it's the last 30 years the thread says. For that time period a strong case could be made for Brady and I have Manning already up there for active guys. I'd put Brady ahead of Kelly that's for sure.

Re: 5 Best NFL Quarterbacks over the last 30 years.

Yes but if Kelly concentrated on winning one must conclude that he didn't never having won a Superbowl. Now if you don't have a ring and you want to make this list you need super numbers like Marino and Mannning have. Ring or no ring those stats can't be ignored. Most Superbowls are won with runninggames ane defense anyway. Kelly had those and still no ring so what's up? Hey I dont mean to pounce on ya. I think Kelly is great especially for guys from '76-'96 but he's top 10 not top 5. He doesn't have the numbers and he doesn't have a ring. Yeah he has AFC Champ rings but Dapper Dan has one and he did it with a team not a quarter as good as the '90s Bills. Kelly played terrible in those Superbowls as well! Sorry Soriano33 but I just don't see your logic with all due respect to you and your opinion.
