NFL teams have been posting fan codes of conduct on their web sites recently in an effort to make sure that everyone who goes to the stadium knows what will and won't be tolerated. Nothing wrong with that.
But there have been some unusual rules posted. The Kansas City Chiefs caused a controversy when they posted --
and then revised -- a rule against standing. And then there's this rule, which is in effect at some NFL stadiums:
Displays of affection not appropriate in a public setting. That rule is posted on
the St. Louis Rams' web site, on the
web site for Qwest Field, where the Seattle Seahawks play and on the
web site for Lincoln Financial Field, where the Philadelphia Eagles play.
The Kansas City Star reports that it's banned at Steelers games as well.
