As you NFL fans know, today is cutdown day, where all of the failed free agents of the past years and the aging veterans are essentially kicked to the curb. Expected cuts today include Redskins WR David Patten, possibly Titans QB Steve McNair, Cardinals RB Marcel Shipp, Raiders DE Bobby Hamilton, Browns RB Lee Suggs, Houston LB Kailee Wong and perhaps Lions WR Charles Rogers. Anyone I missed? Anyone else you'd expect to see cut?

I'll be honest with you, Gotham. I'm not even sure any of these guys got cut. June 1 came and went with nary a peep from the NFL turks. Who the heck wound up getting cut, anyway?

So basically, the GMs are getting smarter about stucturing the contracts so that the older, big name players aren't being overpaid when they're washed up. I guess they're just adapting to the situation, eh? Good article, Pundit. Thanks for the link!
