After being out of the NFL for over a year, kicker Mike Vanderjagt went back to Toronto in what he thought was a blaze of triumphant return and then missed his first three field goals in his season debut for the Argonauts.
He managed to redeem himself by making two late ones.

Still, I wonder what happened from when he was the most accurate kicker in the NFL until where he is now? Its more than just getting older.

Well, this guy never was as good as his hype and his accuracy stats.
But not even I expected him to botch his first 3 kicks back in the CFL. Wow.

What do you mean not as good as his accuracy stats? Either he made the kicks or he didnt. His stats said he did and he did.

He made easy kicks in the regular season. When the pressure was on and you needed a "money" kicker, though, he wasn't the guy.

There are wider hash marks in the CFL and he didn't adjust initially. He got two later on which were 44 and 49 yards. I'm sure he will have the most accuracy out of any kicker in the CFL this years and hopefully be back in the NFL although he said that he doesn't want to be there (NFL).
