Culpepper turned down back up job

Gannett News says a source reports that Daunte Culpepper turned down a one year, almost $1 million offer for the back up quarterback job in Green Bay.
I say Daunte needs to get a new agent. Old one isnt doing so hot.

Not sure his agent is to blame. I think Culpepper still believes he's an elite NFL QB and deserves a chance to compete for a starting job.

What is he thinking! He is a solid back-up on a team like the Packers, but he is losing his mind.

So Green Bay must have a lot of faith in Rodgers.

Yep, no doubt. Draft two QBs and try to sign Culpepper... clearly Rodgers is your guy.

Culpepper is his own agent.

After they couldnt sign Culpepper, they drafted the two quarterbacks. Brohm is their backup. They have every confidence in Rodgers.

I don't know what he's smokin' but I agree with Lefty that Culpepper still thinks he's an upper tier quarterback...he's wrong.

unfortunately, you are right on both counts. He signed a one year deal with Oakland last year because that was the only team that would give him a chance and the quarterback situation was so bad there he knew he would get a chance to start. He didnt exactly make a good impression but the people surrounding him werent so great. I'm sure that's what he is telling himself. I dont think he wants to play all that bad.
And I kind of wonder what he weighs now. He always was a big man and how good of football shape is he in? It's either a back up job for him or get out of football entirely.
