Vanderjagt returns to CFL

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Mike Vanderjagt, the "most accurate" kicker in NFL history (except when a big game is on the line) will resign with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. The Argos were Vandy's first team, and he played with them through 1997.

Vanderjagt's legacy is that he will forever be known as "an idiot kicker"

Re: Vanderjagt returns to CFL

Vandy was good until he got too big for his britches and had a few too many "cocktails" then giving an "IWIWI" (interview with idiot while intoxicated.)

Speaking of kickers... remember the younger Grammatica brother who kicked for Arizona? He had a promising future until he did a soccer-style leap and tore his ACL? Never been heard from since...

Yeah, I remember him... poster boy for stupid injuries, right up there with Gus Frerotte's headbutt of the stadium wall.

He said that he is done in the NFL and will finish his career with the argos. With the argos he will be doing both punting and kicking. Other ex nflers on the argos roster include Michael Bishop, David Boston, Bethel Johnson etc.

Is this Bishop's first year with the Argos? He didn't do much in the NFL, but I was a big fan of his coming out of Kansas State. Great college QB.

Re: Vanderjagt returns to CFL

No 6th. He really struggled when he first came in but now he looks good. Right now he's second string in Toronto.

Come on Lefty...Re-sign nor resign.........a common mistake but a totally different meaning.......although he might well end up resigning from them

Very good clutch. We mods are resigned to having our members catch our errors.
