| Will fines fix personal misconduct problem? Commish Roger Goodell has said that he will begin fining teams whose players are suspended for violation of the personal conduct policy.
There have been a lot of ideas tossed around about this. Some say if having the player suspended for x number of games wont do it, then neither will requiring teams to pay part of the player's salary as a fine.
Thing is teams cant control the player's conduct off the field. So if you have a Marvin Harrison who has never done anything of the sort before, or a Chad Johnson or Chris Henry, how does this make it fair?
Would having teams paying for education of the players help? Like the Cowboys are doing with Calvin Hill?
Or maybe fines would go against the draft cap. For sure it would seem that Mr. Goodell has more work to do on this plan.
What's your idea?
