Okay, I'll break it down... Titans were statistically the best defensively of the four teams last season, but the Vikes and Eagles weren't far behind and New Orleans actively overhauled the unit headed into 2008. It's not a proven commodity, but I like the changes they've made. Meanwhile, Tennessee averaged nearly three points per game less than any of those other three teams, and did little to address their biggest needs on offense in either the draft and free agency. That's just the way I see it.

well number 3 and number one should be used to compliment each other, especially when you consider the Texans have never finished above the Titans since their formation...and what does playing behind Green Bay have to do with anything?

we needed people that can catch...and we got 3...we needed an offensive weapon and we got one of the best all round offensive players in the draft...our defense is set...i don't see how we haven't addressed our teams issues

but i guess only next season will tell

Re: Ranking the teams with Peter King

alex, I know you guys have high hopes for Johnson, but... I'm just not sold on the kid being the kind of stretch-the-field thread that Tennessee, IMO, needs. I do love his speed but if they want to convert him into a guy who can play some flanker, it's going to take time for him to develop the route-running ability he needs. Plus you didn't draft a pure wideout until Round #4 and Stevens is thought to be more of a blocker. There was some real talent at WR still on the board at that point that the Titans probably could have used more. Again, just one guy's opinion... I could be wrong. We'll find out this fall.
