| Re: Relocation, Who Do You Think Is Going Where? I know they have a good size hardcore fan base, but there is also a ton of fair weather that go along with those franchises. I am probably just blind to a lot of it because of my hatred for LA sports teams, even more so the last 5 years with all the Vikings to LA rumors. |

| Re: Relocation, Who Do You Think Is Going Where? ive said it before and i will say it again .... if the League wants a team outside the States .. Mexico City is the place to go travel is obviously not much of an issue for flight times .... and they sell out 100,000+ just for preseason games

| Re: Relocation, Who Do You Think Is Going Where? NFL isn't going to go to Mexico City. Lotta reasons why not but I don't think it's necessary to go into them. They could sell out one million seats and they still won't put a team there. You know it, I know it and we can debate the fact why the SHOULD put a team there but what's the point? So let's look that the NFL; they want teams in Toronto, LA and maybe Vancouver, high profile TV friendly cities. That's why Los Angeles can crap all over the NFL franchises they lure in with a new stadium. Do you think the NFL doesn't want a team in the entertainment capital of the world? I'll bet my car that an NFL team will be playing in that nice new stadium in Hollywood. And the comment above about the owners not allowing it I have to disagree with. Who's gonna tell the Jaguars who play in a nameless stadium and is the lowest revenue team in the league that they can't be that team in the place that the NFL wants one so bad? The LA Jags? LA Vikings? LA Saints? Get ready because it's a sure thing.

| Re: Relocation, Who Do You Think Is Going Where? I have to respectfully disagree with the NFL expanding to Mexico City being a sure thing. It's a possibility sure but I really don't think it is going to happen and if I could wager on it the way you can wager on the outcome of actual games i'd bet the house on it. Here's why I feel Mexico City will not get an NFL team in the near future and I don't agree with these reasons and have nothing against Mexico getting a team but these are the reasons I feel it after hearing talk radio and reading news websites will never happen in at least 25 years from now. 1. The NFL wants glitzy glamor cities with state of the art stadiums. The teams want ticket prices and many luxury boxes for corporations to buy and those have to sell out too. Mexico City isn't TV friendly at all and isn't going to have corporations buying luxury boxes. It's a different country and not like Canada where it's so much like the US. 2. Sure Mexico sells out exhibition games but will they support an NFL franchise year in and year out with season ticket holders, merchandising, and making a huge profit for an owner of the franchise or will it just be a novelty that is big at first (XFL anyone?) and then as the years go on that 100,000 seat stadium has 30,000 fans. That would be a disastrous and a high risk for any franchise owner. 3. The language barrier. Same as above, the NFL works great in countries like Mexico for exhibition games because nobody in the US cares about exhibition games. If a team relocated to Mexico City the NFL would have to be a bilingual league and a lot of people are resentful of that nowadays so again this team might sell out every game but they would be drastically alone and the outcast of the NFL. I mean as I said they are proposing to build an actual wall on the border to keep Mexicans out of the United States, that says a lot right there. 4. Hate to say it but racism runs wild lately in the USA and it seems to be targeting Mexicans unfortunately. The stronghold of the NFL is in the heartland of this country. Cities like Indianapolis, Green Bay, Kansas City, Cleveland will in fact stop watching the Mexico City teams games because they would be disgusted and angry when America's New Pastime goes to Mexico. A lot of those fans are angry at non english speaking hispanics for allegedly stealing american jobs away from American citizens and now you're going to hand their country America's favorite sport? That's a powder keg waiting to happen. Again I don't agree with the sentiments stated in my reasons and surely hope not to offend anyone but to have a meaningful discussion about this you can't ignore that 800 pound gorilla in the living room so to speak and all factors must be taken into account. |

| Re: Relocation, Who Do You Think Is Going Where? I certainly agree with the belief that Los Angeles should not get another chance at having an NFL team. The area has proven more than adequately that it will not support NFL football. The fact that the greedy networks and the league itself are so desperate to put another team in LA should not be reasons to relocate a team there either. Instead, a team should be placed in a city that is located in the middle of football country. A city that unlike LA, that has never had the opportunity to enjoy its own NFL franchise. A city that has been clamoring for an NFL team for decades. I'm of course talking about San Antonio. San Antonians have been relegated to cheering for other cities franchises like the hated Dallas Cowboys for decades now. But those times will be a thing of the past soon in my view. San Antonio is a booming, growing and exciting place with over two million people and is growing very rapidly. The fact that it has not had its own NFL football team for so long is a travesty. San Antonians, myself included would jump at the chance to support their very own team. This was indicated when the Saints played three games here in 2005. The city went bonkers for the team and showed up in droves to see them play. This show of support for a third rate, no account team with no local fanbase no less demonstrated how hungry San Antonians are for NFL football. Imagine if the city were to land the Chargers or Jaguars. Two first rate teams that are a yearly threat to go to the Superbowl. There would be bedlam in San Antonio that's for sure. Compare that with the lackluster support the Raiders and Rams suffered through while playing in LA. It seems clearer to me as time goes by that San Antonio will be in the league soon. It is getting to be too big to be ignored anymore by NFL owners. And it is my belief that it will soon have its own NFL franchise. Despite the notion that Los Angeles "should" have one because it is so big. |

| Re: Relocation, Who Do You Think Is Going Where? Why should the league hesitate? Florida has three franchises and so does California. I think either the Chargers, Vikings or Jaguars who all have stadium issues would be great for San Antonio. |
