Okay, the names Troy Aikman and Bob Griese never come up when talking about the all-time greats. But these guys were pretty good. Aikman has three rings...Griese two (and three straight Super Bowl appearances)...Griese had a few passing titles in the process...if memory serves...1971 and 1977.

-Griese: 8 Pro Bowls , 192 TDs to 172 picks (in the 60's and 70's) 25,092 yards.

-Aikman 32,942, 165 Tds and 141 ints...6 Pro Bowls.

Who is the better of the two or are they one in the same?

They're close. I'd take Aikman, but I may be biased... not crazy about Griese, nor did I get to see as much of him as I did Troy.

Besides, more people have heard of Troy Aikman than Bob Griese anyway.

More people have died since the Dolphins glory days...I am a Cowboy fan, but I think Griese was the better of the two.

Only 1 problem.... Griese didn't play much the season they went 17-0
