Pro Bowl

The Cowboys, excuse me, the underdog NFC took on the AFC today at Honolulu. (It was a little confusing because there were Cowboy helmets all over the place ) The underdogs won, 42-30. Rookie Adrian Peterson was MVP with 129 yards in 16 carries and 2 TD's in the second half.
TO had 8 catches for 101 yards and 2 TD's.
San Diego cornerback Antonio Cromartie tied a Pro Bowl record with 2 interceptions.
TJ Houshmandzadeh had 2 TD's in 4 catches for 44 yards.

Heck, I missed it...should have taped it if TO was going to have a big game..and Peterson...he should be resting...what is he doing going 129?

They gave him the ball a lot. Westbrook didnt get many carries. Neither did Barber. But Peterson and Barber play the same way. You would never guess it wasnt a real game for either of them.

Re: Pro Bowl

I watched the tail end of it. Amazing day from Peterson - I don't think that kid has any gear other than full speed again. One of Owens' touchdowns came from Jeff Garcia, which was a little surreal. I watched afterwards, and I saw TO high five a lot of teammated, but Garcia wasn't one of them. Just curious.

They shook hands, not real enthusiastically, but they shook after the catch. They connected for good yardage a couple of times.
If I were to judge Derek Anderson by the performance he put on yesterday, I would really wonder why he was there. If they had put in another quarterback, the AFC might have won. Of course the NFC defense put on a lot more pressure later in the game. They got called three unsportsmanlike penalties in two plays. Al Harris was having a hard time following the rules. Aaron Kampman looked good. Wouldnt mind having him on our team.

Romo and Larry Fitzgerald connected well too.
I dont know how they learn those plays in 5 days. I know they are simple, but still.

Peterson has deceptive speed and is not affraid to lower is shoulder. Time after time it looked like Peterson would be stopped for little or no gain but gets around the end for 8-10 yards. He is fun to watch.

Re: Pro Bowl

If I was Garcia I would have thrown a couple of high ones to TO and hoped that some DB might forget it's an exhibition game and lay him out!

Takes a big DB to layout TO... is way more physical then most DBs in the game.

Darn, he is loyal. He has changed. And goth, those tears were sincere. A lot of the players emotions run over on them after such a loss. Why is everyone picking on TO? One of the Packers did too after their loss to the Giants in the playoffs.
He knew a lot of people would blame it on Tony, because of all the off the field stuff and he knew it wasnt fair because they lost as a team.
And boy, did they ever lose as a team. I think they were all in Cancun with Jessica.

Re: Pro Bowl

I didn't watch past the first Quarter because it doesn't matter and I don't care.

But I did hear T.O. and AP had great games.
